On of our Interactive Design clients is looking for a Senior Designer/Information Architect. Experience specifically involving info heavy sites is necessary. High skill and familiarity with DHTML, Javascript, AJAX, CSS, XHTML, XML are required along with ownership of a full user interaction design project. A strong foundation in information architecture and user interaction methods is what we are looking for! MA/PhD in related field or experience working at an Internet Company, content provider, or web start up is a PLUS PLUS!

Senior Interaction Designer
The Job
As a Freelance Interaction Designer you will be an integral member of our User Experience group, a small team of
highly-talented wizards responsible for the entire design and interactivity of our site.
Responsibilities
• Development of intelligent, usable and engaging interface designs from conceptualization to
implementation
• Design, develop and deploy interface, content, and interaction flow
• Create UI designs, interaction diagrams, use cases, wire frames, mock-ups, prototypes, design
specifications, guidelines, and screen flows
• Ability to create interfaces that are fast, consistent across browsers, and demonstrate an intimate
knowledge of browser quirks and best practices
• Work closely with Visual Design Lead, Senior Usability Engineer, and User Experience Lead
• Work closely with Front-End Development team to execute on UX
Experience Guidelines
(some of this should apply to you)
• Worked on user-centered user interaction for a minimum of 2-3 significant digital consumer products
such as web/mobile sites + applications or software.
• (Experience primarily with branding and advertising is not relevant experience)
• BA/BS from a 4 year school in a related field
• Strong foundation and skills in information architecture and user interaction methods
• Demonstrable interaction design experience with wireframes, data flows, and mockups
• Strong use and knowledge of current typography, graphic elements and navigational tools to support user
task sequences and functional methodologies
• Platform independent skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and other Adobe products
• Highly skilled and familiar with: DHTML / JavaScript / AJAX / CSS / XHTML / XML
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas, decisions, and reasoning to a non-technical audience
• Proven ownership of a full User Interaction Design project
