New Media Director

Our client is seeking an a New Media Director for a temporary to permanent assignment.

Candidates will direct web design and new media efforts of corporate web sites, HTML emails, and interactive web-based applications.  Talent will oversee web design and digital video production from conception through testing and production with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize new media and web design principles to support process improvement in order to reduce direct costs and increase revenue and market share.
• Establish new media strategic planning and directing/implementing state of the art web design standards.
• Apply creativity and consistency in manner that strengthens the brand and end-user experience.
• Tracking and analyze user trends and implementing new design features based on metrics.
• Create and implement standards for visual design and web UI programming.
• Influence external entities to follow standards for web on online efforts where appropriate.
• Possess the combination of strong hands-on new media design and technical skills to create compelling online experiences.
• Provide oversight and web design direction for freelancers and 3rd parties with responsibilities in user interface, digital video production and social media tools.
  

Requirements:

• Develop and execute visual design for interactive media projects such as video, broadcast, Web, CD, DVD, Animation, and Streaming offering our clients full Creative, Development, Pre-Production, Editing, FX, and Post Production.
• Direct production efforts for the video recording and editing of events for streaming via the Web.  Create virtual tours using QTVR, Flash, and other interactive applications.
• Knowledge of basic photography is necessary.
• Design and develop user interface features, site animation, and special effects elements.
• Develop interactive applications with Flash and ASP.
• Must have an understanding of web based technologies and thorough knowledge of HTML code, browsers, ASP, CSS, VBScript, JavaScript, object oriented technology, video compression technology, streaming media architecture and/or other design related or new media applications.
• Knowledge of compression/decompression schemas as relevant to Web based technology.
