A major online retailer is looking for an exceptional Front End Developer with strong programming skills and understanding of user-centered design to join their downtown team. Responsibilities include spearheading new development initiatives and implementing enhancements across clients’ platforms based on business objectives and requirements, including modifying JavaScript and jQuery plugins. Reporting to the Manager of FED in User Experience, this role involves researching the best interactive technologies; hand-coding from Photoshop comps and wireframes; and assisting in interaction design when needed. The ideal candidate is a great team player who respects different perspectives and thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Requirements:
· At least 5 years in HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, RSS, JavaScript, Ajax, Flash and other related interactive technologies
· Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Creative Suite
· Strong understanding of web accessibility and browser compatibility
· Excellent project management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
· At least 3 years in e-commerce, advertising/marketing, product development
Experience at an agency or design studio a plus
