Before the wide advent of the Internet and the birth of online job posting boards, Artisan came into being as a creative staffing agency for freelance graphic designers, art directors, photographers and illustrators in Chicago in 1988. But what really set Artisan apart from other companies of our kind was the vision to become the “It” agency for top tier job hunters and businesses alike. By 1993, Artisan had tripled in size and was identified as one of the fastest growing companies in the nation. In the ensuing years, we continued to grow in leaps and bounds, not only to become one of the most successful and influential creative interactive, print and marketing staffing agencies in Chicago, but in the whole country.
