Client: US Airforce
Project: Re-Branding
Solution: The truth is less than one percent of Air Force members fly planes. The rest deal with some pretty cool technology. The kind of tech the CIA comes to the Airforce for. All we had to do was talk about it. In today's video game world, it clicked.
Client: Ameriana Bank
Project: Web Site design
Solution: Ameriana is one the many community banks that are thriving in these bad times. Their brand is about being a good community member. I designed an emotional approach that showed the human side of the bank, the idea that life is more than just about money even for a bank.
Client: Dean Blackoak Star Gear
Project: Logo Design
Solution: Dean Blackoak had a very interesting idea. Take the common joke "What's your porn star name?" and turn it into personal wear. They started with baseball hats, but the possibilities could have been endless. I designed a retro logo keeping with their tongue in cheek brand. But unfortunately, Dean was ahead of his time and the company folded.
Client: Exile Bikes
Project: Print Campaign
Solution: Forget the wimpy bikes on American Chopper, these guys make the most bad ass bikes around.
Real old school stuff. It's a brand with attitude, we just made sure the ads had plenty of the same.
Client: Jackson Hewitt Tax Service
Project: Mall Poster Campaign
Solution: Everybody hates doing their taxes, even if it's simply taking them in for someone else to do. Jackson Hewitt's idea was to do people's taxes while they shopped at the mall. The IRS document look and feel was a no brainer and who doesn't love getting something back from the government. These appeared as mall kiosk posters.
Client: Jazz Fellowship Competition
Project: Print Campaign
Solution: Every year the association holds its Cole Porter Jazz competition. It can be a rather stuffy affair. Well, in keeping with the theme, we decided to jazz it up a bit. Humor helped us to attract more entries than ever before.
Client: Jazz Fellowship
Project: Poster Campaign
Solution: The Indy Jazz Fest is an annual tradition. Lots of music, fun and food. But it had a rep as being a stogy event. We gave their brand a face lift by going retro and organic with the look and fun with the headlines.
Client: Pennzoil
Project: Print Campaign
Solution: Stop and go driving puts a lot of strain on your engine. Plus is just damn frustrating to stop all the time. It's hard to get people excited about motor oil. However by tapping into the emotion of driving, we let people know that Pennzoil understood. After that they were much more interested in hearing about the superiority of Pennzoil.
Client: Indiana State Museum
Project: Pets In America Print Campaign
Solution: The State Museum has been on an improvement binge for several years now. It's went a long way toward making the place more fun. This was an exhibit that helped. America's fascination with their pets is a prefect subject. The ads reflect the wonder we all have concerning the animals that we treat as part of the family.
Client: SAAB
Project: SAAB 900 Reintroduction Campaign
Solution: SAAB was created originally as an aircraft company. They were always on the cutting edge of technology, however their cars were a little too weird for the American public. The brand need a serious update.
So like all good companies they changed and improved their product. We changed and improve the ads. The perfect team.
Client: Wild Turkey Bourbon
Project: Redesign Print Brand
Solution: Wild Turkey has always been know as a premium brand, a blue chip brand. Their advertising had been great for years. We were left with the unfortunate task of updating it and making something that was great even better. It took a lot of late nights and hair pulling, but we finally came up with something that upheld the brands high standards.
