Natalie has a natural affinity for technology, and a gift for connecting people via social media. She likes to be an active participant (speaker and listener), wherever people are talking to each other. Currently, Natalie is a community manager for a corporation firmly planted in the "green space." Originally hired during the company’s start-up phase to write customer-focused marketing copy, Natalie quickly took the reins and developed their social media capabilities. Today, this includes managing a team of community ambassadors: a hand-picked crew of top-tier "green" bloggers and eco-minded consultants, to whom she sends updates on brands, products and special offers featured on the company site, in a way that is compelling for these bloggers to then relay to their readership. She is also responsible for writing all of their blog content, press releases, as well as refining which messages are pushed to Facebook and Twitter. As an integral member of this small company, Natalie is included in all marketing decisions, including how best to keep engaging their highest consumer following while reaching new audiences. Her efforts have directly resulted in tremendous growth in the company’s online following, and as a result, their bottom line. She maintains her own food-centric blog, and her work has appeared in numerous national publications. She is ready to focus on one area of marketing, ideally as the manager of an online community, and to lend her social media know-how to a new organization.
