Express interest in this Talent

Nick is a user interface designer with experience in HCI and branding. Nick creates Web sites which provide necessary information quickly, and are in line with an overall corporate look & feel. Most recently, as a Junior Art Director for RMG Connect, Nick contributed high-level strategy as well as tactical execution to a variety of Web-based projects for clients such as Cuna Mutual, Illinois Bureau of Tourism, and HSBC. During these projects, Nick contributed insight on site navigation, layout and content, front-end interface design. and also provided requirements documentation. At Smurfit-Stone, Nick was responsible for establishing a cohesive look for the company (color palette, logos, Web and print templates), and then applying it to their printed pieces, Web sites, intranet, microsites, and portals. He creates flowcharts in Visio, mockups in Photoshop, then builds sites using Dreamweaver. Nick prefers the PC platform, and he is strong in CSS, editing HTML, Flash (with some ActionScripting), Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Nick prefers to create sites with "low click-depth" so that information is easily accessible. He really gets the "human" portion of HCI, although he is also fascinated by technology! Nick is open to temp-to-perm and fulltime opportunities in the city. He would ideally like a role which mixes both Web and print (not straight print), where he can learn by interacting with more senior designers, programmers, IA's and strategists.
