Client: Prince
Project: 3121.com
Solution: 3121.com was the fifth complete site I developed for Prince since 1998. This was more of a blog-type site with reports on concerts and new shared music. The last design used images from his 2007 Planet Earth CD.
Client: Prince
Project: 3121 Album Cover + Package Design
Solution: We relied on Prince's iconic silhouette to identify this CD as a Prince CD. After 30 years of making music, we didn't feel his albums needed his name on them. And the "3121" on the back of his jacket was the perfect way to inform the viewer what the title was. I added color and contrast to make it more eye-catching.
Client: Sam Jennings
Project: My Original Art
Solution: Last fall I began developing original drawings, turning them into vector art, and placing them on posters, shirts, magnets, anything I could think of that I could distribute and also sell online. I included this image to show some purely creative output.
Client: Prince
Project: Fury CD Single
Solution: I went in a very different direction with this CD Single Cover. It is meant to resemble old Fillmore posters from the late '60s, using elements of fire to represent the "fury." The guitar images are to reinforce the rock edge the song has.
Client: The Nettelhorst School
Project: Official School Site
Solution: This Chicago Public School needed a new, professional-looking website to go along with their fundraising efforts to improve the school. I donated my time and skills to completely redo the site and position the school to achieve it's goals.
Client: Prince
Project: NPG Music Club
Solution: This was the opening page for the members-only NPG Music Club online fan club for Prince. It was for our fourth and fifth years of the club. It had a psuedo-techno organic vibe to it all.
Client: Prince
Project: Planet Earth Album Cover + Package
Solution: Prince wanted to go very minimal with this one. No lyrics, few photos, not even a title, song list, or his name. Just this front image. We added a lyric book onto his website later and had the credits on the inside under the CD.
