A piece of 35mm film captured blank white frames gave interesting swirls of design, simplicity, and wonder to a universal image block. When viewed the anticipation of wanting to see an image in the tiny frame keeps you engaged with each white square.

A retro 1950s style microphone with scratches, fingerprints and soft brushed metal from decades of use. Nostalgic and timeless. Interesting shape and meaning.

This became a nail polish illustration to promote new spring shades for a two week national pre print mailer for retail magazine cover.
Commerical.
While shopping for props for a job, a wall of silver, pewter and steel objects filled the shelves. When I saw the pieces, I gathered as many as 20 different shapes and sizes edited down to this monochromatic gray image. Originally photographed 4x5 color. As a grayscale image it has much more impact.
Personal work.
This bottle was purchased not only to drink, but to photograph its unique label wrap of burlap like material. It gave shape of bottle a mystery identity. A texture that lends itself to the bold and warm tones of the Cabernet. I wanted to isolate the label and bottle using an antique wood surface to illustrate oak like barrels and deep brown background.
