The art director wanted something fun to catch and attract the childrens' attention right away after opening the magazine. He said, "Go wild." So, I did. My decision was to make a vector based, ultra-colorful, background, yet, keeping it legible.
Various logos.
Different logos for a variety of clients.
Muse Magazine layout
This article was about products that are being developed for the future.
They show how much energy you are wasting by showing you through
their interactions with you. Sustainable objects for a sustainable world.
Since, these objects were for the future, I wanted to keep it the look
futuristic, by way of the font, background, and frame treatment.
La Cabaņa Mexican Restaurant menu design.
A client asked for a logo and menu design for their new restaurant.
The client wanted to stay away from the typical, cheesy, graphics of most
places with the sombrero-wearing men. They asked for something simple and eye-catching but without it being gaudy.
I was immediately attracted to the color white, as a background color to give the truthful impression that the place was clean and the colorful image of bell peppers was a good image to give an essence of variety. I decided to stick to columns for the interior and back in order to echo the cover image and show off the variety of items. A nice clean design for a nice, clean restaurant.
Bloom Yoga Studio flyer.
This was spec work. The client asked for a flyer that would bring in more business. They provided the logo and the color bar at the bottom.
I wanted to give an impression of tranquility, which is what I believe the goal of doing yoga to be. Through a royalty free site, I picked an image of a young woman doing a yoga pose and wrote the words serenity, happiness, and warmth.
