Amanda is a junior copywriter and proofreader who is looking to expand her portfolio and take on a variety of assignments with different types of companies. Right out of college, she taught high school for two years as part of the Teach America program. Knowing she wanted to leave teaching when her assignment was through, she contacted a real estate marketing and PR firm and began taking on writing assignments including press releases, copy for web and print marketing materials, profiles and bios and ghost writing pieces. Amanda also worked for six months on a web start up where she wrote short “quippy” descriptions of places, products and services of interest to New Yorkers.
