Stephanie is a proofreader and copyeditor who possesses an eagle eye for contextual details. As editorial assistant for the Chicago Reader, Stephanie was responsible for fact-checking, style consistencies and well as double-checking all spelling, grammar, punctuation, and smoothing out overall tone. For their online edition, Stephanie proofed text for correctness and proper flow, and checks hyperlinks. She has previously proofread financial documents for Grant Thornton, informational brochures and training materials for AT Kearney, and a variety of other documents including print ads, invitations, screenplays and books. Along with proofing hard copy, she is familiar with making changes to Quark, InDesign and PowerPoint documents.
